Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Nasir Mohd Desa obtained his first degree in Microbiology from University of Arizona, USA in 1997. Assoc. Professor Dr. Nurul Asma Abdullah I am currently an Associate Professor and the Head of the Biomedicine Program at the School of Health Sciences, University Science Malaysia. I have more than ten years of academic teaching experience in molecular biology, immunology, microbiology and stem cell and regenerative medicine. I have served as the internal and external examiners for the MSc and PhD theses. I have been engaged in multidisciplinary research groups in the fields of biomedicine, biomaterials, and pre-clinical research, and interested in the aspects of cell and tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, and inflammation. I am also an active reviewer for various international journals, as well as a reviewer for university and national grants. I have published over 60 full peer-reviewed papers in the related fields and authored or co-authored of several book chapters.
